Sunday Roasts at The RockFish Grill…

Spread the love

Sunday roasts aren’t just for meat-eaters. As of Mothering Sunday (Sunday, April 3rd), The RockFish Grill and Seafood Market on Whiteladies Road will be opening for Sunday roasts with a twist: fish will be the star of the show. Each Sunday will feature a different menu, with fish roasted in the restaurant’s charcoal oven…

Priced at just £19.50 for two courses or £24.50 for three, the Sunday roasts are being offered on the back of the success of a similar launch in Mitch Tonks’ Devon restaurant The Seahorse. “We opened for Sunday lunches at The Seahorse in Dartmouth last month and it has been so well received by locals we thought we could do the same in Bristol”, says Mitch. “This is for families and friends who want to enjoy a relaxing afternoon with really good food and wines in a friendly neighbourhood restaurant. You can enjoy watching Jake and the team prepare your Sunday lunch in the open kitchen and as spring takes hold we’ll be opening the windows out to the sunshine too!

Expect such dishes as sea bass with garlic and hollandaise, or monkfish roasted with herbs and garlic. Meat eaters need not worry, though, as the menu will also feature the likes of “Boston” rib of beef for two, and roast Devon lamb. Children will also have their own menu, perhaps preferring to opt for classic fish and chips or a bowl of mussels.

Great news for seafood lovers – and a potential venue for your Mothering Sunday celebrations…?
