The Pop Up Cookery School from Bordeaux Quay – various dates

Currently based at Bordeaux Quay, The Cookery School is embarking on a journey, popping up at different stations along the way before arriving at its final destination and new home…

Set up in 1998 by Barny Haughton as Quartier Vert Cookery School, the venture has recently been incorporated as a Community Interest Company, and will be moving to new premises at the Park at Knowle West in January 2012.

Before that, however, it will be “popping up” at multiple locations across Bristol, including the Pierian Centre in Portland Square, and the Bristol Old Vic.

Say The Cookery School:

“This is more than a cookery demonstration: It’s about you in your kitchen with your knowledge, your budget and your expectations.

It’s also, incidentally, about the future of food. The landscape is changing at every level. What do YOU want from it? Ten quid, 90 minutes, plenty of tasters, lots of fun and who knows – maybe together we can make a real difference.”

Tickets are just £10 for a 90 minute cookery demo – to check dates or buy tickets to any of them, email info@cookeryschoolandkitchen.co.uk or call 0117 904 6679. Alternatively, check the Eventbrite page and buy your tickets online…
