Grupo Lounge: Opening in Westbury-on-Trym in January 2013

Get ready for the latest Bristol addition to the Loungers chain…Grupo Lounge in Westbury-on-Trym will be opening its doors to the public in January 2013.

The bar and restaurant group, founded by Alex Reilley, Jake Bishop and Dave Reid in 2002, currently has over sites across the UK – including Banco, Deco, Porto, Tinto and the original Lounge in Bristol. Expansion is rapid – they’ve just launched Marino Lounge in Brighton, and many more sites across the country are planned for next year.

Grupo Lounge had its licence granted in October 2012, and should be opening in January 2013. Located in the former Blockbusters store on Canford Lane, expect a similar vibe and menu to the existing Lounges…but with (so I hear) the addition of a 40 cover roof terrace.

  1. First visit to the Grupo Louge Westbury on Trym this morning. Very disappointing. Slow disinterested service. Cold food had to be sent back.
Plenty of alternatives in WoT – sort it out!
