Casamia’s Peter Sanchez- Iglesias competes on BBC2 Great British Menu
Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, one of the chef-proprietor brothers from Bristol’s Michelin-starred restaurant Casamia, has been unveiled as a competitor on this year’s popular BBC2 show, Great British Menu, which hits TV screens on Monday 28th January at 7.30pm for nine weeks.
The Great British Menu is known for selecting some of the best chefs across the country to compete in regional heats and then a national final to create their best dishes at a major banquet in London.
For the initial South West regional heats, Peter has to cook four dishes for a panel of four judges including Michelin-starred chefs Tom Kerridge and Phil Howard, to win a place in the national final.
Peter comments, ‘When Great British Menu approached me about taking part I was a bit nervous about doing it on my own, as Jonray and I have always done things together in the past, but he told me to grow up and get on with it! He’s got enough on his plate at the moment in any case in the shape of my beautiful new niece, Olivia!’
‘I hope our Casamia customers will enjoy watching – and look forward to hearing people’s feedback!’
Great British Menu is broadcast on BBC2 at 7.30 on Mondays from 28th January for nine weeks.
