Love Food Festival are delighted to announce a taster of their forthcoming Spring Festival. Now in its fourth year, the event will bring together thousands of food lovers with the region’s finest producers and chefs.

The Demonstration Theatre boasts a reputation for showcasing the South West’s tastiest talent and this year’s programme, supported by The Devilled Egg Kitchen Academy will include Tim Maddens, head chef at River Cottage HQ. Tim regularly appears alongside Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall on our television screens and we are delighted that he’ll be bringing his wonderful knowledge and enthusiasm to The Spring Festival.

Emma Grazette of Channel 4’s ‘Spice Trip’ will be sharing her infectious love of all things spice. “I love Love Food Festival’s ethos and share the want to bring food back to the people – producers and passionate foodies in whatever way. Bristol is a fantastically vibrant and diverse city with a great food culture.”

Other chefs stepping up and showing festival goers how to make some fantastic, affordable and delicious dishes at home include Josh Eggleton from The Pony and Trap, Sam Moody of The Bath Priory, Rachel Demuth of Demuths cookery school and Liz Knight of Forage.

All ingredients used in the demonstrations will be available to buy in the huge indoor market which will bring together a fantastic array of producers including Trealy Farm, The Black Mountains Smokery, Quickes Cheddar, The Thoughtful Bread Company, Field Bar Wines and many more.

As well as an action packed schedule in the demonstration theatre, there will also be a tasting room hosted by The Red and White Wine School. Master Of Wine Liam Steevenson and Ben Austin will be running a series of fun and informative sessions throughout the weekend to educate and inspire your palates. Topics covered will of course include wine as well as some superb ales, cheeses, and coffees.

The old station platform will be transformed into a food lover’s paradise with a delicious array of sizzling street food dishes from around the world including The Gaucho BBQ, Gourmet chorizo, Agnes Spencers Jerk chicken, ‘The Kernow Creperie’ and many more.
