Brooklyn Brewery Dive Bar to pop up at Grillstock 2013

Joining the Music, Meat and Mayhem at Grillstock festivals this summer, the brilliant people from Brooklyn Brewery will be creating a Brooklyn Dive Bar, a Mecca for craft beer lovers with the chance to try out some never-before-tasted US beers.

The authentic Brooklyn Brewery experience will come to Grillstock in the guise of a pop up dive bar with sticky floors and gritty interiors, decked out in hipster marble (AKA hurricane boarding), with heaps of neon, pinball machines and a vintage dive bar photo-booth to deliver a true Brooklyn experience. Hand produced craft beers will include Brooklyn Lager and the Brooklyn Summer Ale, on draft for the first time in the UK. These and a selection of other American beers – rarely drunk on this side of the pond – are currently being shipped in time for the festivals.

The Brooklyn Brewery was founded in 1984 and has since won hundreds of awards for its beers throughout the world. The popularity of craft ales grows apace in the UK and the 20metre dedicated bar at Grillstock will offer the ultimate US beer experience for festival crowds.

Jon Finch, Managing Director of Grillstock, explains;

“The plans for our bars at Grillstock this year look incredible with a real life ‘Dive Bar’ pop up currently in production. This will be the first time Summer Ale has been on draft and the team have a number of single kegs of unique beers heading our way for festival goers to try out.”

Grillstock festival will return to Bristol’s Harbourside 11th and 12th May as well as making its debut in Manchester’s Albert Square, 8th and 9th June. This festival is THE destination for anyone that loves real tasty food with the chance to watch and sample food from competitors in ‘King Of The Grill’, a huge two-day US style ‘low and slow’ BBQ competition to a fantastic soundtrack of Deep South beats.
