Eat Drink Bristol Fashion

 

Eat Drink Bristol Fashion returns to Queen Square this year from May 1-18, bringing chefs from across the South West together to cook for diners in the tipi village’s fine dining restaurant.

The confirmed chef line up holds a total of nine Michelin stars between them, representing the best of the South West’s culinary scene. The latest additions to the bill include Dominic Chapman of The Royal Oak Paley Street, which has three AA Rosettes.

The Bath Priory‘s Sam Moody will cook for the second year running, with his evening taking place on Sunday May 4, while Matthew and Iain Pennington of Bristol’s Guardian Ethical Awards winners The Ethicurean will take over the tipis for a lunch service on Saturday May 17. Romy Gill from Thornbury’s Romy’s Kitchen will be cooking for the first time at Eat Drink Bristol Fashion on Sunday May 11.

The fine dining marquee will also host a unique collaboration between two star Cornish chef Nathan Outlaw and TV chef Valentine Warner on Friday, May 2.

Tickets for the fine dining line up went on sale on Tuesday, March 18, and can be browsed and bought online by clicking here. The full line up to date reads as follows:

  • Saturday 10th May: Josh Eggleton (The Pony & Trap)
  • Sunday 11th May: Romy Gill (Romy’s Kitchen)
  • Monday 12th May: Paul Ainsworth (No. 6)
  • Wednesday 14th May: Simon Hulstone (The Elephant)
  • Thursday 15th May – Lunch: City of Bristol College
  • Friday 16th May: Richard Davies (The Manor House)
  • Saturday 17th May – Lunch: Matthew and Iain Pennington (The Ethicurean)
  • Saturday 17th May – Dinner: Jack Stein (Rick Stein Restaurants)

 

For casual diners, the Tapas Cafe will be serving food from 12 noon until 10pm each day, offering a modern British tapas menu designed by Josh Eggleton and accompanied by free live entertainment.

Says Josh, Eat Drink Bristol Fashion Director, “The whole of the UK is talking about the food scene in the South West, epitomised by some of the exciting chefs cooking in the region. We are please to bring them together for the first time, cooking under canvas, Bristol fashion! We will be championing a field to fork philosophy throughout the 18 days in Queen Square, with entertainment each evening, free to the public.”
