Finalists announced in the 2014 Bristol Good Food Awards

 

The six weeks of voting are over, and the finalists in the 2014 Bristol Good Food Awards have now been announced! Members of the public were asked to vote for their top food and drink picks in a wide range of categories, using both online votes and paper voting forms.

It is now the task of the judges to make their final decisions as to who should be crowned the winner from the shortlisted businesses in each category. This year, the judging panel is once again led by Angela Mount, and also includes the following judges:

  • Xanthe Clay (food columnist, The Telegraph)
  • Richard Bertinet (BBC Food Champion)
  • Martin Blunos (chef & broadcaster)
  • Sam Moody (Michelin starred chef, The Bath Priory)
  • Susy Atkins (wine writer and broadcaster)
  • Barbora Stiess (The Devilled Egg Kitchen Academy)
  • Rachel Demuth (writer and owner of Demuth’s Cookery School)
  • Hrishikesh Desai (Head chef, Lucknam Park Cookery School)
  • Jenny Chandler (food writer)
  • Dhruv Baker (winner, BBC MasterChef)
  • Chris Staines (Michelin starred chef, The Allium Brasserie)
  • Clare Hargreaves (food writer and director at Feast With A Chef)
  • Charlie Digney (owner of the King William and Garrick’s Head in Bath)
  • Larkin Cen (finalist, BBC MasterChef)
  • and me!

Each of the venues shortlisted will be visited by the judges, acting as mystery diners. In the local producers’ categories, the judges will determine the winners through a blind tasting session at the Bristol Royal Marriott Hotel on April 22. All of the results will be announced at the Gala Awards Evening, which will be held at Eat Drink Bristol Fashion on May 18.
