May in Bristol means one thing; food. From festivals and events showcasing sustainable, local producers to great tasting dining experiences, the city’s food scene comes to life and River Cottage Canteen is embracing the vibe with its Urban Edible Gardening Demos on Wednesday, May 7th.

As part of the city wide festival, Bristol Food Connections, River Cottage Canteen is introducing urban edible gardening demos led by gardening expert Paul Thompson. These demos are perfect for those green fingered city dwellers who don’t have a big space at home but love the idea of growing their own! The demos are £30 which includes a two course lunch and will be taking place on Wednesday 7th May at 10.30am and 1pm.

River Cottage Canteen will also be transforming its menu, as part of the BFC Food Trail. By highlighting where the local suppliers are based and including their social media details on each menu the restaurant hopes to bridge the gap between food producers and customers, encouraging them to engage with each other.
