Mighty Food Fight

Street food continues to go from strength to strength in Bristol – and now we’ve got a brand new vegan option to add to the ever-growing list.

Hannah and Isabel are the owners of René, a 1978 Citroen HY van. The pair met thanks to their love of vegan food and punk rock, and after much cooking together, decided to start their new street food business: The Mighty Food Fight.

Their all-vegan dishes are designed to both taste great AND be good for you, and they’re pretty different to the norm too. On the savoury side, you’ll be able to enjoy their balls: a choice of Quinoa Pizza Balls or Chipotle Pinto Bean Balls, tucked into a taco with plenty of fresh salad and sauce. If you’re after something sweet, they also offer donuts in flavours such as lavender, chocolate, stout or salted caramel, and donut holes which are made with raw ingredients, including plenty of superfoods.

On the drinks side, you’ll be able to enjoy a coffee or a pick-me-up from their Tea Pharmacy.

Says Hannah, “We are waiting to hear back from Bristol City Council Street Licensing team on the results of our tender for a pitch on Temple Way. If this doesn’t look promising we’ll be planning to attend as many events as will have us!”
