Boston Tea Party scoop Best Café award at Food Magazine Awards

Bristol-based Boston Tea Party Cafés is pleased to have been named Food Magazine’s Best Cafe Award winners for 2015.

The awards are voted for by the public and highlight the operators that are leading the way in the South West. Simon (head of drink) and Anita (head of food) went along from BTP to the ceremony at Yeo Valley HQ and collected the award in front of some of the South West’s finest operators.

Over 9,000 votes were cast in the awards and it is BTP’s second in the past few months, following on from the Cafe Life Award at the end of 2014 for Best Cafe/Coffee Bar Chain.

The Food Magazine award highlights BTP’s quality food offering, particularly praising the range of brunch items on the menu, the fact that the cafes make everything on site and the quality of ingredients used, including a clear focus on using ethically sourced and sustainable products.

It has also been announced that Boston Tea Party have been nominated for three awards at the upcoming Sustainable Restaurant Awards, including the Society Award, Large Group Award and The Innovation Award for the use of used coffee grind to grow mushrooms which are then served as mushrooms on toast.

The SRA awards take place on Monday 23rd February.
