Wine Cycle Tour

Cycle the City, Bristol’s popular cycle tour company, has launched a brand new tour celebrating local food, quality wines and Bristol’s beautiful scenery. Accompanied by a wine-tasting expert tour guide and equipped with a handmade English bicycle, guests are led on a scenic tour around Bristol, sipping and sampling local English and organic wines. The route takes in many of Bristol’s beautiful backdrops, whilst also tipping its cap to the city’s wine heritage and the burgeoning English wine scene.

The tours last for two and a half hours, beginning at No.1 Harbourside, which holds a three star award from the SRA and is home to Cycle the City. With the initial wine tasting at No.1, guests can expect a local charcuterie board (supplied by Somerset Charcuterie) before being suited up with a Pashley bicycle. Tour guide Pablo leads the group along flat, car-free cycle paths before stopping for two further outdoor wine tastings, served from the back of the bicycle. The group finishes up back on dockside soil with a final sparkling wine tasting at Bordeaux Quay.

Tour guide Pablo says, “We’re all very excited about the tour; Bristol’s fortunate to have so many fantastic local vineyards and strong supporters of local produce. Not to mention being a great place to cycle!”

Cycle the City promises that this will be an intimate, informal and at points alfresco wine tasting cycling experience.

Cycle the City’s Wine Tour will run every Saturday from 12pm and costs £29.50 per person. To book a place, visit the cycle the city website at www.cyclethecity.org. This tour is also available for private groups and corporate bookings, contact Cycle the City for more information.
