Bristol Cider Shop has announced that its new shop will open on Saturday 15th October. The shop will be one of the first occupiers to open in Cargo, the new shipping container development at Wapping Wharf. Their Christmas Steps shop will close on Saturday 8th, to prepare for the move to the new premises.

The shop will continue to showcase a wide range of award-winning local cider and perry, but will also have a new focus on cider and food. Alongside the shop there will be a cider café, which will serve traditional cider-related food during the day, and will host cider tastings in the evening.

As with the cider, all of the food will be locally sourced from independent producers. The team are working with the Bristol Cheesemonger to find the perfect cider and cheese matches and they are in discussion with their new neighbours Lovett Pies about a new pork and cider pie.

The new shop features a purpose-built tasting room and cider tastings will form a large part of the new offering. There will be tastings every Friday night, along with a calendar of cider and food matching evenings, cider dinners and ‘Meet the Producer’ sessions, as well as private tastings and events.

Private tastings have become increasingly popular for groups of up to 20 people, and this year Bristol Cider Shop are offering cider-themed Christmas parties for the first time. Cider tastings cost £20 per person and include 10 award-winning ciders, Somerset Cider Brandy plus bread and cheese.
