The Sanchez Brothers team will officially open the much anticipated Paco Tapas on Thursday, November 17th, completing their trio of waterside restaurants at The General.

The restaurant, which is next to Pi Shop and Casamia on Lower Guinea Street, will serve a regularly changing menu combining traditional tapas with personal interpretations from Michelin starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, whilst staying true to the vibrant and comforting flavours of his heritage.

Their custom made robata grill will allow them to specialise in market fresh fish and meat cooked over birch wood fire. Sitting alongside the tapas you’ll find a carefully crafted sherry list, with sherries available by the glass or bottle, or as an ingredient in a list of cocktails.

Peter says, ‘It’s always been a dream of our Dad’s to bring a taste of his home to Bristol and after two years of hard work I can’t wait for this to become a reality! Jonray and I loved our times in Andalusia, learning from, eating and drinking with our Dad. His influence is over every detail and that’s why we named it Paco – after him.’

‘We’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing suppliers to achieve our goal of transporting you to Andalusia when you step through Paco’s doors. With our traditional bar tiles to original sherry barrels, the best jamon and stunning carabineros, I’m so excited to welcome you to Paco Tapas.’

Paco Tapas is the third restaurant from the team, following pizzeria Pi Shop, which opened in June, and Michelin-starred Casamia, which opened in 2015. Menu-wise, there’s something for everyone, with smaller bites, cold meats, croquetas, cooked meat dishes, fish dishes, stews, vegetables and desserts…
