To celebrate the opening of its Bristol pizzeria, sourdough pizza pioneer Franco Manca will be giving away 500 free pizzas across its first five days of opening.

The opening day is this Saturday, November 11th, and you’ll find the Bristol branch of Franco Manca at no. 20 Clare Street, in the city centre.

Every day from November 11th to 15th, Franco Manca will be handing out free pizzas on a first come, first served basis to those who are dining in. Limited to one per person, the first fifty pizzas will be available from opening, with the final fifty at 6pm each day.

The menu, as we mentioned in September, consists of seven core pizzas, along with a selection of sharing platters, daily changing specials, and desserts that include home-made tiramisu.

The pizzas are made using slow-rising sourdough, with the toppings combining new flavours and traditional ingredients. They start from just £4.95, and include the popular no. 4 (£7.35), featuring Gloucester Old Spot ham, wild mushrooms, and a mix of mozzarella and buffalo ricotta.

To wash down the pizza, you’ll also find a selection of organic and natural wines, as well as their own No Logo beer, pale ale and cider, brewed exclusively for Franco Manca.

Franco Manca Bristol can be found at 20 Clare Street, BS1 1YG. The opening hours will be from 11.30am to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 11.30am to 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 12pm to 10.30pm on Sundays.

Standing proudly on the corner of Clare Street, it’s a warm, welcoming place with an industrial-meets-rustic canteen feel – and an open-plan kitchen where you’ll see pizza after pizza being turned out for both takeaway and eat-in orders.
