VegfestUK Bristol returns to the city on May 26th and 27th 2018…and we have a pair of very special tickets, worth £55, to give away!

VegfestUK – a celebration of all things vegan – this year takes place at Ashton Gate Stadium, having moved from its former home on the harbourside. The stadium’s own restaurants will be getting in on the action, both serving special 3-course vegan menus, and there will also be a huge number of vegan street food traders selling everything from crepes and churros to patties and Pad Thai.

Add to that around 220 stalls selling everything from food and drink to clothing and cosmetics, live entertainment, talks, a kids’ area, a helter skelter and more, and it promises to be a great weekend!

We’re going to make it even more special for one lucky Bristol Bites reader, as we’re giving away a pair of special supporter tickets for the Saturday, worth £55. These tickets include admission into VegfestUK Bristol, as well as priority entrance to the festival and access to the hospitality lounges on Level 3 of the stadium. These tickets also include a special goody bag, packed full of quality vegan products.

For your chance to win this pair of tickets, simply leave a comment below, letting us know about your experiences with vegan food. It can be anything from your favourite restaurant for vegan dishes to your favourite recipe or vegan ingredient – it’s up to you!

The competition closes at midday on Friday, May 11th, and I’ll pick a winner at random after that. Good luck!

  1. I’m lucky enough to live near Matter Foods and wow! What a gem. They’ve changed my takeaway life!

  2. Bristol is a great place to eat out for Vegans, having the festival helps. it is becoming easier to simply pick a place without too much prior organisation.
I have found 4500 miles from Dehli will adapt their meals for Vegans or for anyone that has intolerances.

  3. I think it’s great that more and more mainstream restaurants are serving vegan food, making it much easier to eat out in groups with mixed dietary preferences. Boca Bar is a great place for Sunday lunch, offering a really tasty vegan roast alongside their more traditional meat roast. Gone are the days when vegans had to make do with a lacklustre salad or just a plate of dry vegetables and potatoes when everyone else was tucking into a tasty looming roast! 🙂

  4. I’ve enjoyed vegan food at many places in Bristol, including Fi Real. If in Brighton I like the vegan food at the Hope and Ruin pub.

  5. My first experiencie of vegan was was at the Bristol show on the harbour side. It opened my eyes to the many choices available. I will miss it being in the centre of Bristol but I am sure it will be a new experience for everyone at the football Stadium. As the stadium has had a lot of money on the venue I am sure it will showcase vegan food and products in a different way. As I have been going for years I would Love to win the upgraded ticket and see the venue at its best.

  6. I had thought that eating vegan food would be a huge challenge but thanks to the internet and previous vegfests I discovered just how easy it is. My favourite recipe to cook is butter bean and potato curry, or if eating out I enjoy some of the many vegan pizzas available now.

  7. I’ve been vegan for 3 years now and continue to be surprised and delighted by the amount of different foods and drinks available these days in shops and amazing street stalls. People seem to be a lot more aware and accepting of the vegan lifestyle. Is never go back and feel so much more healthy for it.
There are some amazing recipes out there-so creative and tasty, I’m never left wanting!
The Veg fest an incredible place to try new foods & recipes and meet like-minded people! <3

  8. I have only just begun eating Veg dishes..So am new to this..Have not tried any any venues as yet ..But would love this…

  9. Bun Fiction is by far my favourite new food pop up. It has a huge range of fabulous junk food which appeals to meat and veggie eaters alike. It’s a great way of promoting vegan food and encouraging people to try new foodie options. I hope to see them at VegFest this year!
