I’ve discovered some interesting research from Sunny.co.uk! They conducted a survey on the dining out habits of us Brits, and the results are pretty interesting.

Every year, say the results, we dine out at least three times a month – which sets us back £695.76 per year. An expensive hobby/treat…especially as while 60% of us have a budget, as many as 90% say they struggle to stick to it.

It’s Italian, Chinese and Indian that are the nation’s top three cuisines when going out for a meal…but with 21% of us saying that we want to save money in the New Year, could the frequency of eating out decrease?

It’ll be interesting to see what happens in Bristol’s food scene in the coming years. We’ve seen a number of notable restaurant closures already in late 2018 and early 2019 – but with new restaurants, coffee shops, street food businesses and more springing up all over the city, it doesn’t seem that Bristol’s love affair with dining out is likely to end any time soon.
