This October, the former Prezzo site in Yate’s Riverside Leisure Park will open its doors as Shan’s Cabaret Bar after a massive refurbishment.
Shan’s Cabaret Bar will host live music, plus the best impersonators and tribute bands from across the UK – with George Michael, Take That, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Phil Collins and Barry White impersonators already signed to appear.
As the picture shows, the place is being completely transformed, with owner Michelle Griffin promising “old school glamour, eclectic artwork and statement light fittings. Behind the bar, you’ll find a selection of craft ales, plus premium spirits and Shan’s “build your own” cocktails.
Behind the bar, you’ll find the performance area with seating for 120 people at classic Parisienne-styled, lamp-lit cabaret tables in front of a raised stage. And there will also be a separate VIP area (sponsored by Moet et Chandon Champagne) for those who want an even more special night out.
Despite all the changes, there’s one thing they’ve retained from the Prezzo days, and that’s the pizza oven. They’ll be offering various handmade pizzas on their food menu, as well as steaks, with all ingredients sourced locally.
Shan’s Cabaret Bar owner, Michelle Griffin, says: “We’re looking forward to opening the doors in October and show live music lovers what we’ve created. I wanted to open a venue that provides an entire night out under one roof. Guests can come here for food and drinks then stay and enjoy our fabulous live music acts without having to jump in a taxi to Bristol or drive anywhere else.”
