Struggling to get an online shopping delivery slot? There’s great news, as Bristol’s Good Sixty has expanded its food delivery service.

Good Sixty was founded in Bristol with a single purpose: to support the city’s small retailers and food and drink producers. The service brings them together as one collective force online, so our small independents can compete with large supermarkets and national veg box schemes as a sustainable online grocery solution. It’s a way for consumers to buy from a range of local shops in one single online purchase, with their shopping delivered to their door all in one go.

The name Good Sixty comes from the results of a Harvard Business School study: a study that showed that shopping at local independents rather than large supermarkets gives a 60% greater economic benefit to your local community. And during the lockdown, it’s even more vital than ever to support our local businesses in order that they survive when life goes back to “normal”.

And Good Sixty have seen increased demand since lockdown began, which is great news! To be able to serve more customers across Bristol, they’ve now expanded their food delivery service.

Good Sixty’s delivery radius has now increased to three miles from the Bear Pit, and they’ve also released more delivery slots than ever before. “We hope to serve more of the Bristol community with home deliveries from their favourite independents during this tricky time”, they say. “We also want to help more small-scale, indie food & drink businesses to thrive online whilst physical shopping is discouraged.”

From bakeries to butchers, chocolatiers to coffee roasters and more, there’s lots to choose from – and at the time of the writing, I was able to book a delivery slot just two days in advance. Have a look at the Good Sixty website to find out how you can enjoy great local produce while supporting Bristol’s independents!
