Wriggle returns with new pick-up and delivery options

The Wriggle website and app are back in action from 11am on Friday, June 12th, offering food for both pick-up and delivery from some of Bristol’s great independent food and drink businesses. And what’s more, they’re waiving fees until August to help the city’s producers and restaurants get back to business.

The way it works is a bit different to other food apps. Restaurants and producers can list their offers within the Wriggle app and website, with the flexibility to choose the dates and times their offers will be available for collection or delivery. For example, you could browse the app on a Wednesday to look for a Mugshot steak meal for a special treat on Friday, pay through the app/website, and Mugshot would have the food ready (for collection or delivery) at the time that was clearly marked. It means that businesses can then manage their own delivery rounds, instead of having to take multiple separate trips or relying on separate delivery drivers. It ensures that Wriggle partners have less cost and complexity – huge fees would likely prevent them from reopening at all.

To celebrate the relaunch, Wriggle has teamed up with new pizza business Spring Slice to give away 50 delivered sourdough pizzas, covering BS2, BS3, BS4, BS5, BS6, BS8 and BS15 only. All 50 delivered pizzas will go live on the Wriggle site and app at 2pm on Friday, June 12th, and will be spread over five days – so if Friday is sold out, try your luck for another day! Pizzas are limited to one per account, and the lucky winners will have them delivered between 7-8pm.

Wriggle is the platform for Spring Slice’s debut. Offering sourdough base pizzas spread with San Marzano passata, mozzarella cheese, basil and a host of toppings, there are veggie and vegan options available too.

There are plenty of other pick-up and delivery offers available. Muino are offering five tapas dishes and wine from £37.50, there are homemade dishes from Spoke and Stringer for delivery, crates of fine wine from Averys Cellars, fresh pasta and sauces from Little Hollows Pasta, and plenty more too – with Wriggle saying that they are signing up more partners every day.

Visit the website to find out more – or download the app from the App Store or Google Play!
