Valley Fest 2020 may have been cancelled due to COVID-19, but on the evening of August 1st, you can enjoy four hours of free online content, giving a taster of what’s to come at Valley Fest 2021.

Taking place between 6pm and 10pm on the Valley Fest website on Saturday, August 1st, the one-time-watch virtual event will include the announcement of the 2021 festival line-up, as well as performances and video messages from Deacon Blue, The Blockheads and many more artists, musicians and DJs – including Junior Jungle, Tropical Tea Party and The Allergies.

Food-wise, the online content will include Michelin-starred chef Josh Eggleton showing us how to make lamb koftas with a Yeo Valley kerned yoghurt. Award-winning chef, food writer and climate change activist, Tom Hunt, will be talking about how to eat well and showing how to make “Not Avocado On Toast” – a vegan recipe from his new book, Eating for People, Pleasure and Planet.

Children aged between four and eight will also have their own workshop to enjoy. Valley Fest veterans, 6FootStories, will be showing kids how to make their own potato puppet and bring it to life.

The virtual Valley Fest event will also give you the chance to take advantage of a one-time special ticket offer, with 2021 weekend tickets priced at £125 plus booking fee – a price that will only be available over the early August weekend. From August 3rd, adult weekend tickets will be priced at £135 plus booking fee. The team are advising those who want to attend to buy their tickets soon, as many rolled over their 2020 tickets to next year, and 2021 capacity will be limited.

Luke Hasell, Festival Founder says:

‘Obviously we’re absolutely gutted not to be able to be together in person, so we’re doing things a little differently this year: the show must go ONline as they say! We’ve got an incredible line up that we can’t wait to share and performances from nearly all of our artists. It’s going to be amazing! We hope that everyone will join us for this one-time watch: Valley Fest – on your land.”

Remember, the online event, with its packed programme, is a live broadcast, and can only be watched from 6pm to 10pm on Saturday, August 1st. The event will take place on this page, where you’ll also find the ingredients if you want to take part in the live cookalongs.
