A busy weekend for food and drink events in Bristol at the end of this month! On Sunday January 31st, Glassboat will be holding a cheese festival on Welsh Back as one in a series of food-related events they’re holding this winter.

The festival is running from 10am to 4pm, with a cheesy lunch at 12 on the boat itself…a lunch boasting a menu that will include such dishes as French onion soup with gruyere and macaroni cheese with Beenleigh Blue and wild mushrooms.

Down on the dockside will be heaven for cheese lovers, with a number of the West’s cheese makers – including Keens Cheddar and Trethowan Dairy – contributing to the day. As well as tasting and buying a variety of produce, you’ll be able to try your hand at making curd cheese, learn how to milk a goat, and learn how to match cheese – not just with wine, but with local beers and ciders.

Have a look at the Glassboat website for more information!
