If you’re keen to learn more about breadmaking, join local baker Laura Hart at one of her upcoming “Bread & Breakfast” workshops at Hart’s Bakery

With a Bristol baking career including stints at Quartier Vert, Bordeaux Quay, Arch House Deli and the Lido, Laura decided to go it alone last year. Customers can pick up fresh breads, croissants, pastries, brownies and more from her premises above Picture House East on Hampton Lane, or on Saturday mornings at a stall outside Planet Pizza on Gloucester Road. She also supplies Park Street’s Munch Deli with pastries in the mornings.

Bread lovers can learn how to make croissants, sourdough bread and a chocolate tart in a series of upcoming workshops. Each workshop takes place from 6.30-9pm on a Saturday, when the products are made, and then from 10-11.30am on the Sunday to bake the croissants and sourdough.

The £110 cost per person includes all of the ingredients and teaching, as well as pizza and wine on the Saturday; sourdough, pastries, chocolate tart, a pot of sourdough starter and recipes to take home, and the option to bring a friend for breakfast for free on the Sunday.

For more information, including dates of upcoming courses and details of how to book, have a look at the workshop page of the Hart’s Bakery website by clicking this link.
