Join Tart Cafe & Foodstore for their next Tart After Dark supper evening – this time a “Best Of British Supper” on November 24th.

The Gloucester Road venue’s monthly supper evening takes a British theme for November’s event – their last such evening for 2011 – with a selection of British classics with a Tart twist.

For just £30 per head, guests will be treated to an amuse bouche and complimentary drink on arrival, followed by a three course meal from head chef Andrew Griffin. The menu reads as follows…


Amuse Bouche…

Beans On Toast – bruschetta of haricot beans, vine tomatoes, basil and Parmesan

To Start…

Fish And Chips – goujon of market fish, handmade chips and pea puree

For vegetarians: Split Pea Soup – classic soup, made with yellow split peas, seasoning and stock


Pie And Mash – prime chuck steak, stout and mushroom pie, creamy mash, buttered greens and carrots

For vegetarians: Shepherdess Pie – root vegetables, fresh tomatoes, herbs and lentils, topped with creamy mash and served with buttered greens and carrots


Old English Sherry Trifle – traditional trifle with sponge, fruit, custard and cream, laced with sherry
