New summer menus at Harveys Cellars…

Spread the love

I’ve just been sent copies of the new summer menus at Denmark Street sherry & tapas bar Harveys Cellars, and they look amazing.

With recent chef changes in the kitchen, very little of the former menu remains. The menu is now divided into three sections – meat, vegetarian and fish & seafood – with some great-looking new dishes.

Carnivores can enjoy tapas such as chorizo with honey & saffron and Spanish meatballs in a red wine and tomato sauce, alongside dishes with more of a twist, like the mini chorizo burgers. Paella croquettas with bell peppers and thyme, and asparagus with olive oil and Parmesan (as well as more “standard” option such as tortilla and patatas bravas) will appeal to vegetarians, and fans of fish and seafood can tuck into dishes such as the pan-fried mackerel dressed with a red pepper, aubergine & caper sauce.

It’s also great to see more of a range of desserts, including Crème Catalan and (most excitingly for me) churros with hot chocolate and sweet chilli dips. I’m also pleased to see that gluten free and dairy free dishes on the menu are now marked as such.

The pricing of the Harveys tapas range has also changed, with all dishes in the meat/vegetarian/seafood sections of the menu now priced at one for £4.50, three for £12, six for £20 or nine for £29. You can see the full menu here…

As well as relaunching their food menu, Harveys have also published a new Summer Sherry Flight menu to sit alongside it. These sherry flights provide various sherries matched with tapas dishes from the new menu, and are available at £20 per head for a half flight or £40 for a full flight. Click here to see the menu.

Sounds like a great excuse for us to head back!
