Food lovers and shoppers looking for really fresh and locally-sourced food to grace this year’s Christmas dinner table will be pleased to learn that the annual St Nicholas Food Market takes place on Saturday, December 22nd.

The St Nicholas Christmas food market is one of Bristol’s most popular food markets, boasting over 25 stalls offering a fantastic range of local, fresh and seasonal produce. Regular favourites – Druids Farm and Frocester Fayre from Bristol Farmers’ Markets – will be giving shoppers a last minute opportunity to purchase a Christmas turkey or a chicken and other meats, plus locally-grown vegetables.

Other stalls lined up to for Saturday’s market include Bordeaux Quay; Lahloo Tea and Bath Soft Cheese. In addition, shoppers can also buy a great selection of street food ranging from Thai to Malaysian and Vietnamese, plus there will be a selection of cider and local beer, cupcakes and loads of other delicious products for sale.

To bring a touch of Christmas magic for shoppers, the 30-strong Bristol Water Aid choir will be singing traditional carols between 12.30pm and 2.30pm in Corn Street…and to make Christmas shopping a relaxed experience, Corn Street will be closed to traffic from 10am to 4pm.
