Ashton Court Producers' Market

The ever popular producers’ market at Ashton Court returns for another year starting on Sunday 17 March with longer opening hours from 10.30am – 3.30pm. Housed within the beautiful backdrop of 850 acres of parkland and situated in the courtyard of Ashton Court mansion house, this monthly market is back with over 25 stalls laden with locally made food, drink, crafts and dog treats!

As well as all the usual market regulars and some exciting new ones, the first market on Sunday 17th March will be accompanied with live classical music from The Brunel Sinfonia and the return of the adorable greyhounds from Greyhound Rescue West of England.

Popular with local foodies, the market at Ashton Court has been growing in popularity ever since it was founded by Mullion Cove owner Sophie Bowden. She added:

“It’s great to be back at Ashton Court for another year. Since the market started in 2011, we’ve seen a steady growth in market attendance every month and have been touched by the support we’ve received from our customers even during inclement weather and the additional car park charges that the council introduced last year. We’ll continue to strive to bring to the market a wider choice of innovative and traditional products made by local artisans, farmers and crafts people.”

Local producers returning this year include Barley Wood Kitchen Garden, Cowshill Farm, Dorschi Catering, Snowdrop Cottage, SamosaCo, Towles Fine Ales, Mullion Cove, Wooden Heart Crafts and many more.

With the estate being located just a short distance from the bustle of Bristol city centre and offering a range of outdoor activities, the market is a great place to visit on a family day out.

Up to date information about the market can be found on their Facebook page, Twitter (@AshtonCourtPM) and on the Mullion Cove website.

  1. Glad you're back!! Are you all booked up for stalls and how local is local? I make recycled and new kiln formed glass and am based just down the M4 the otherside of Chippenham. I am looking for more markets where I can spread some more glass love! Look forward to hearing from you. Amanda.
