Back for the 17th year and ready to continue its success, the annual summertime campaign is preparing to tour the country once again! Gastro Alfresco is all about embracing and enjoying life outdoors, without having to leave your own home.
Last summer was a great time to be British, with the Queen’s Jubilee and Olympic and Paralympic games being hosted in London. This year, the emphasis is on avoiding a stressful and expensive holiday and instead, enjoying a summer staycation. With nearly 8 million Brits planning to shun the airports and stay in the UK this summer, this is the ideal time to celebrate living life alfresco.
The Gastro Alfresco sampling RoadShows are visiting 75 venues up and down the country this summer – including a trip to Bristol. You can get a slice of the action when they pull into Sainsbury’s Car Park at Emersons Green, on Thursday 8th August, and get a taste of what Gastro Alfresco is all about.
The team’s talented on-board chefs will be creating a selection of tasty dishes cooked right before your eyes and you can sample delicious food and drink from their sponsors which this year include Boursin, Brancott Estate, Encona, New York Bakery Co. San Miguel Fresca, Shloer, and Starbucks.
Every visitor will also have the chance to win a Gastro Alfresco GoodiBox, packed full of their sponsors’ products.
