Eat Drink Bristol Fashion have announced three extraordinary events, where fine-dining is explored through immersive experiences that will tantalise the taste buds, in the spectacular Queen Square tipis, 1st – 18th May.

Kicking off proceedings on the opening weekend at a charity banquet, The Invisible Circus will be serving a surprise with every course. Next up, the Hall and Hearty Lunch Party from Tim Maddams will host a community dining venture, topped off with MasterChef finalists Larkin Cen and Dale Williams bringing Asian flavours to the tipi village.

Aiming to leave your senses tingling, organisers have confirmed that these events complete the impressive fine dining line-up of some of the UK’s best known chefs that already includes Paul Ainsworth, Nathan Outlaw and Valentine Warner.

The Invisible Banquet by Bristol’s Chefs, Coexist and the Invisible Circus

Eat Drink Bristol Fashion invites you to celebrate a taste of spring with an evening of fine dining and circus revelry hosted by Lord Wassischops and his family of furry friends on 3rd May.

In true form, you should expect the unexpected as Bristol’s finest chefs, Coexist and the inimitable Invisible Circus present a feastful night of tomfoolery with experiential performances.

Diners will be whipped away into a weird and wonderful woodland folly where the trees are alive, squirrels whet your palate with jugs of wine and badgers serve up sky high platters of sensational seasonal produce.

Serving up this wickedly delicious food will be a collaboration of Bristol’s leading chefs, including Freddy Bird from Clifton Lido, Josh Eggleton from The Pony & Trap, Tim Denny, Matt Duggan and Leigh Pascoe from the Star and Dove, Toby Gritten from the Pump House, plus Todd Francis from the Ox and Martin Walkins from Walters restaurant at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel. Mixologist Jim Barlow from The Milk Thistle will be on hand with a cocktail menu full of twists on classic cocktails and unique creations.

With a proportion of ticket sales going to Coexist Bristol’s Community Kitchen, the Invisible Banquet will engage you in a night of theatrical happenings and stunning feats with a four course sharing banquet of food and theatre.

Hall and Hearty Lunch Party

Eat Drink Bristol Fashion are thrilled to welcome Tim Maddams, former Head Chef of River Cottage, where he will showcase his Hall & Hearty community dining venture to the tipis on 10th May.

Tim now runs his own company, Green Sauce, teaching, cooking and consulting on ethical food. His Hall & Hearty venture offers communities across the South West the chance to enjoy a great value meal among friends, support their village hall and champion the best in local, seasonal and ethically-sourced produce.

The concept is designed to support communities that have lost a central meeting place. Revitalising the village, church or school hall, Hall and Hearty serves locally sourced ethically produced food on a supper party basis, with everyone dining together at long tables to enjoy each other’s company, rub shoulders with old friends and make new ones, whilst at the same time enjoying a top notch three course meal in the comfort of their own village.

Tim says: “Hall and Hearty brings together old folk and young, from all walks of life under one roof, often meeting for the first time. It has worked wonders for connections within those communities.”

Larkin Cen and Dale Williams

In the tipis on 14th May are Larkin Cen and Dale Williams, two MasterChef finalists from 2013, who have taken critics by storm with their new venture, Hokkei, a takeaway due to launch in July. Be the first to try this one-off menu, based around 10 themed “Hokkei” boxes, which capture the vibrant flavours of Asian food and are delivered to the standard expected of MasterChef finalists.

Diners at Eat Drink Bristol Fashion will have a chance to try various dishes on the Hokkei menu such as triple cooked crispy beef, eight hour BBQ ribs, pulled pork Singapore noodles, Char Sui red curry plus many more.
