Summer is just around the corner and to celebrate, drinkers across the South West can now enjoy a pint of something special courtesy of Bath Ales.

Back by popular demand, the independent brewer has just released its latest seasonal ale – Summer’s Hare – in pubs across the region.

For many drinkers, the arrival of this beer marks the start of summer as it is crafted especially to be enjoyed during the warmer months.

With a light, hoppy flavour, Summer’s Hare is brewed using the finest pale Maris Otter floor-malted barley as well as a transatlantic mix of Bramling Cross and Chinook hops combined to make a well-balanced, fruity beer.

Bath Ales’ head brewer, Gerry Condell, is delighted the beer is so popular. He said: “Summer’s Hare has been designed with warm evenings and alfresco dining in mind. The beer has a summer fruits aroma with spicy notes and is the perfect match for a light dishes such as ploughman’s, quiches and mild cheeses.

“This is the fourth year we’ve released Summer’s Hare and it’s always popular at the pumps with those looking to enjoy a lighter ale.”

Available in cask and microcask (3.9% ABV) until end of August, Summer’s Hare has a full malt flavour and fruity bitterness with aromas of spice and summer fruits for beer lovers to enjoy.

Summer’s Hare can be found in all Bath Ales pubs and selected other pubs until August. Microcasks cost £16.60 plus package and postage, and are available from the online shop.
