An ice cream business from Bedminster, Bristol, has built on its success to open at another location in Bristol, this time selling frozen yogurt.

Vee Double Moo’s frozen yoghurt is made fresh every day with organic semi-skimmed milk and served with a range of delicious toppings including homemade brownie pieces, granola, real strawberry sauce and a range of fresh fruit.

The new van, affectionately nicknamed Ruby, was launched in June and has been test trading since then at the new pitch which is located outside 100 Temple Street, the KPMG building. Bridget Pilkington, 44, of Bedminster started operating in 2010, and has worked hard to establish a good reputation for delicious dairy treats of all sorts.

“Frozen yoghurt is a delicious – and lower fat – option for weekdays so I looked around for a great place to sell. The Temple and Victoria Street area is seeing lots of interesting street food traders popping up so it seemed like the obvious place to start. We’re in good company with Pickle, The Woolly Cactus, Friska and Hickory Pig all close by, as well as the food markets at Temple Quay.”

The VW van is distinctive in beige and sky blue cowprint livery and is one of only a handful of VW camper conversions to food use in the UK. Ruby is so-called because she used to be ruby red!

The van will be open outside 100 Temple Street, BS1, on Wednesday , Thursday and Friday initially, from 11.30 till 3pm, and longer hours when the weather is good. Trading will be seasonal.
