Fans of Marco Pierre White can meet the great man himself as he makes one of his regular visits to his restaurant in Congresbury, North Somerset.

Regarded by many as the greatest ever UK chef, White will be popping in to his Steakhouse Bar & Grill at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House on Thursday 16 October where he’ll meet and greet diners during both lunch and dinner service.

In addition, he’ll be casting his expert eye over the new-look restaurant, which has undergone a five-figure refurbishment that has given the well-liked eaterie a refreshing and vibrant quality which reflects the demands of its diners.

Mimmo Pomo, restaurant manager at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, said: “It’s great when Marco comes to visit and there is always a real buzz of excitement when he’s here. We’ve devised a special menu for the day so guests will be in for a real treat.

“It’s also a great chance for us to show off our new look restaurant which reflects the evolution of the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse brand.

“As the first steakhouse in the country to benefit from this vibrant and exciting new style we can’t wait for diners to come and enjoy the latest take on what Marco calls ‘affordable glamour’.

“It means we can continue to offer the best combination of style and space that reflects the latest trend in the fast moving hospitality sector.”

Starters for Marco’s visit include Pan Roasted Sea Scallops, Parsnip Veloute, Carpaccio of Beef or Mackerel Fillet. Mains include Native Rib Eye Steak, Duo of Lamb, Pan Fried Halibut and Shallot Tarte Tatin.

No visit to Marco’s is complete without one of the sumptuous desserts and the 16 October menu is no exception including Chocolate & Chestnut Torte, Lemon & Ricotta Tart, Caramel Parfit and Amaretto & Poached Pear Cheesecake.

Mimmo added: “At the steakhouse it’s all about Great British cuisine – Marco’s speciality. The food is simple and unfussy but is absolutely top quality.

“We hope to see many new and old friends at the event on 16 October and look forward to welcoming Marco back again.”

A three-course lunch can be booked for between 12.30pm and 3.00pm and costs £39.00 per person. Dinner can be booked for between 6.30 and 9.30 and costs £59.00 per person.
