2014 saw a whole host of food and drink businesses opening up in Bristol – and 2015, I’m sure, will be no different. And it’s already started with new brands such as BristoCard promising to hit Bristol hard this year.

BristoCard is an all-round lifestyle discount card, designed exclusively for Bristol. BristoCard members receive discounts across a wide variety of business types in Bristol, including restaurants, takeaways, bars, clubs and other venues.

While the card is set to cover a range of different business types, the team behind BristoCard is especially interested in hearing from independent businesses who are part of Bristol’s food and drink industry. Essentially, they want to promote great local brands – and for this reason, businesses who sign up to offer a discount via the BristoCard aren’t charged a penny. All they need to do is to contact BristoCard to let them know that they’re interested, choose their discounted offer for cardholders and watch the customers roll in.

The key to BristoCard’s success is obviously the number of great businesses that they have on their books – without the businesses there are no cardholders, and without cardholders there’s no BristoCard! The team also don’t believe in charging a fortune for membership: those interested in taking advantage of BristoCard’s discounts will need to pay just £25 a year, which will give them access to massive discounts across the city.

The team are currently looking for local businesses who are interested in getting involved (completely free of charge) – if you’re keen, then drop them a line before they launch. For members of the public, there’s also the ability to pre-order your BristoCard by visiting the website.

To find out more about BristoCard, visit their website, email them at info@bristocard.com or follow them on Twitter at @BristoCard.
