Mercure Holland House Urban Bar and Kitchen

The Mercure Holland House Hotel and Spa on Redcliffe Hill launches its new Urban Bar and Kitchen this week.

The refurbishment has transformed the former lounge and bar area into a tranquil and relaxed public space with views over the previously hidden courtyard, which has one of the oldest listed London plane trees in the area, adding to the feel of calm and space.

In the public spaces, expect intimate seating areas which combine sizeable booths and banquettes, sofas and chairs, all of which are placed alongside the more traditional dining area restaurant seating. Staying true to its locally-inspired roots, the hotel is also displaying captivating wall art from local artist Ellie Hookham,

Food-wise, head chef Brijesh Khanna works with local suppliers, where possible, to offer a menu that is both locally and globally inspired and acknowledges Bristol’s commitment to diversity. The menu of hassle-free food includes a range of dishes for individuals with specific dietary requirements, and guests will also be encouraged to pick from the ‘Flavours from the Cellar’ wine list, which includes three handpicked wines available across the Mercure Hotels in the UK carefully selected by the BBC Saturday Kitchen Masters of Wine, Susie Barrie and Peter Richards.
