Bristol Cocktail Week returns this October, with a blend of bottled, mixed, blended, paired, sampled and historical spirit events for the people of Bristol.
New for 2016, 20 Bristol bars are taking part in a mixology map of the city, guiding drinkers around five specially created themed cocktail zones, where you can buy exclusively mixed concoctions for the duration of the week.
During Bristol Cocktail Week, you’ll be able to sup exclusive drinks, glean pearls of wisdom from some of the industry’s and city’s best mixologists, as well as taking part in various cocktail-themed events that promise to be bigger and better than ever before. Highlights for this year include:
- A cocktail bus tour of Bristol’s ‘spirit-ual’ history
- Blend your own actual bottle of whisky
- Rum cocktails and mini-golf
- An achingly cool American craft gin cocktail and jazz night
- And a vodka cocktail and cheese pairing night.
Tickets are now on sale and information can be found at www.bristolcocktailweek.bar. The advice from the Bristol Cocktail Week team is to get in there quick, as they expect events to sell out quickly.
On the website, you’ll also find a map of the Bristol Cocktail Week adventure park, with 20 of the city’s favourite bars and speak-easies making up five different zones. Each bar has created a cocktail that, for them, sums up everything that the city’s cocktail scene represents, and they’ll be selling these exclusively for the duration of Bristol Cocktail Week. The map will be available from various locations in the city from September 17th. As well as the bars, it features ‘fuel stops’ – Bristol restaurants with the perfect blend of cracking cocktails and great food.
