Bottomless brunches

Bristol is a vibrant and dynamic city; it encapsulates diversity, welcomes all walks of life and offers something for everyone. From the exciting night scene to the wide array of eateries, Bristol knows how to entertain all crowds and every agenda. So it’s no surprise that the city is much loved by stag and hen parties as the go-to place for indulgent pre-nuptial celebrations.

Needless to say, drawing such a fun-loving crowd has given rise to new and exciting enterprises in and around the city. Forget the traditional boozy Bristol hen weekend and welcome in the new wave of sophisticated festivities. Well, sort of! Here are some of the best places to take your stag/hen party for a scrumptious meal and a bottomless (there or thereabouts) supply of tipple.

Brace & Browns

Located in one of the trendiest parts of Bristol, Brace & Browns is the place to go for those looking for an upmarket meal with all-you-can-drink Prosecco. Every table has two hours to enjoy a delicious selection of starters to share, followed by an incredible main course of your choosing. Dishes such as Pressed Pork Belly, Smoked Duck Leg and Seared Monkfish are followed with a selection of tasty sweet treats, all washed down with a very generous serving (it is all you can drink, after all) of Prosecco.

The White Horse

The White Horse in Westbury-on-Trym’s unlimited brunch and bubbles menu is served from 12pm to 4pm every Saturday – go hungry! Diners can enjoy meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, bread and yoghurts served to their tables…as well as unlimited bubbles, of course! Drivers aren’t left out at The White Horse either – instead of unlimited bubbles, they can enjoy unlimited fruit juice, tea or coffee instead…

Aquila

Whether it’s before the celebrations or a hair-of-the-dog approach for the morning after, Aquila is the perfect setting for a classy yet reasonably priced meal with endless Prosecco. Enjoy a starter, main and dessert from the extensive Italian-themed venue – with a constantly full glass of fizz. Indulgent dishes of Portobello mushrooms, Carbonara or quintessentially Italian classics like Pizza and Risotto are all available at a decent price, with no compromise on quality.

Clifton Sausage

As the name suggests, Clifton Sausage specialises in serving up juicy meaty treats most days of the year. But on the first Saturday of every month, Clifton Sausage goes one step – or trotter – further. The cosy restaurant located in the heart of Clifton Village gives diners the chance to enjoy the brunch dish of their choice with unlimited Prosecco, Bucks Fizz or Bloody Marys. And once you’ve indulged in your favourite sausage dish, you’re ready to explore the local coffee shops and bars that Clifton has to offer.

Steam Bristol

Full steam ahead for the critically-acclaimed SoCal Sunday Lunch, brought to you by Steam Bristol. Perfect for the morning after hangover cure, Steam Bristol offer a succulent Sunday roast, with an unlimited supply of beer, cider, Prosecco or house wine. For two glorious hours, your hens or stags can enjoy a delicious two-course Sunday dinner, starting with a scrumptious sharing platter of olives, breads, cheese and dips. Their legendary roast offers a range of meats or fish, and even caters for the vegetarian crowd. Once you’re done, they invite you to enjoy a final farewell drink at the bar before you venture out into the intimate streets of Clifton. Whether you’re ready to carry on with the party celebrations or just want to mooch in the shops and absorb the atmosphere, there’s something for every crowd.

So there you have it.  Forget the usual Bristol activities and kick start your weekend with a choice of sumptuous bottomless brunches, perfect for any hen weekend. Let us know if you’ve tried any of the above – and if so, what you thought!
