It’s not been a great year for Caffe Gusto. Their Prince Street café is just one of a number that have closed in Bristol in recent months…but the closure paves the way for a Bristol favourite to take its place.

In June 2019, Friska will be opening in the now-vacant premises at 54 Prince Street: their twelfth outlet (although one is for Bristol Ovo staff only).

The Prince Street venue will see the team returning to Bristol, after opening in Luton and at three Manchester sites in recent years. It’ll be their fourth BS1 café that’s open to the public, with existing outlets on Park Street, Victoria Street and Cathedral Walk.

Lucky workers and residents in the area – as well as harbourside visitors – will likely be treated to the same menu options as in other Friska cafés, from their diverse breakfast offerings to their lunchtime salads, sandwiches, hot pots, hot boxes, wraps, burritos and soup, as well as a huge variety of drinks, cakes and snacks.

While there’s plenty of competition nearby (Spicer & Cole, for example, is virtually across the road), Friska’s loyal following, diverse menu and loyalty app should stand them in good stead. Good luck!
