As of Wednesday, August 14th, North Street is home to a brand new vegan deli and café in the form of FLIP.

Owner Sophie Fox has opened new venture FLIP at no. 81 North Street – formerly home to Eastern Tandoori – and claims that it is the first fully vegan deli and café in the UK. Working with local producers, using compostable or reusable takeaway packaging and aiming to be plastic-free, FLIP will serve a range of breakfast and lunch dishes to either eat in or take away – as well as various deli treats to take home.

On the menu will be dishes like a vegan version of smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, soups, buckwheat pancakes, pasta dishes, falafels, sandwiches, salads and more. And if you’re looking for something to take home, you’ll see from the above picture that the shelves are stocked with all sorts of goodies – and there’s also a chiller cabinet with further exciting treats to try.

Follow Sophie’s progress on her website, on Facebook, on Twitter and on Instagram – we can’t wait to visit!
