The Ivy Clifton Brasserie has partnered with Bristol-based luxury chocolatier, Zara’s Chocolates, to create a show-stopping egg to celebrate Easter. The creation brings together the unique landmarks and events synonymous with Bristol and is on display in the brasserie until Tuesday, 3 April.

The half-a-metre high egg takes pride of place on the restaurant’s bar, allowing guests to view and appreciate the intricate chocolate creation. Celebrating everything that makes Bristol unique, the bespoke egg incorporates the Clifton Suspension Bridge, red arrows and hot air balloons into its design. In addition, Zara’s Chocolates miniature milk chocolate eggs will also be gifted to all children visiting The Ivy Clifton Brasserie over the Easter weekend between Friday, 30 March and Monday, 2 April.

Zara says, “We love a challenge at Zara’s Chocolates, and when the team at The Ivy Clifton Brasserie got in touch with us, we jumped at the chance to create something together. To start, we will create designs of Bristol attractions and landmarks on individual eggs and then bring them together onto the main giant egg, all connected by trailing green ivy. We will use a number of methods to create the egg, from etching to pipework with pops of colour throughout, and it will look wonderful. I can’t wait to see the Easter egg on display at the restaurant.”

The egg will be donated to local charity LinkAge Network. The organisation, founded in Bristol in 2007, helps connect the older generations of Bristol who may experience loneliness and isolation on a regular basis by hosting events and opportunities, and promoting activities and days out that are available across the city. A group of local people who rely on the vital services the charity provides have been invited to the restaurant to enjoy a special Afternoon Tea and viewing of the Easter egg on Saturday, 31 March.
