To celebrate National Apple Day this Autumn, Windmill Hill City Farm will be holding an event on Sunday, October 21st to mark the occasion.

Running from 12-7pm, the event will include the pressing of apples collected on a foraging walk on October 14th (contact the farm if you want to join this walk!) alongside music, food and various activities for everyone to get involved in.

Mark Evans, previously of Cafe Maitreya, will be in charge of the food on the day, which will include the farm’s own sausages and some great vegetarian options. Looking after the bar are Bristol Farm Shop – based on the farm itself – selling local beers and ciders.

Farmers’ market stalls will give visitors the chance to take home some great local produce, with a form available on the farm’s website for anyone interested in having a stall at the event.

Phil Lyons from BCFM and Pip the “Human Jukebox” will be providing the music, while other entertainment will include family and children’s yoga, knitting classes, storytelling, badge making and facepainting. Lifecycle UK will also be running various cycling activities on the day, aiming to help families who want to cycle more.

Tickets are priced at £3.50 for adults and £1.50 for children – for more information and to book, visit the Windmill Hill City Farm website.
