ASIA POP! is a pop up cafe with a difference – serving up inspiring street foods from three different parts of East Asia: Japan, China, Southeast Asia. The dishes are all deliciously inspired by the heritage and culinary talents of ASIA POP!’s founders: Ursula Hutchinson, Yoko Romita, and Sarah Khan.
The first ASIA POP! pop up will take place at Stokes Croft’s Hamilton House between 12pm and 7pm on Saturday, October 27th.
The menu is inspired by their travels around the continent and family recipes to provide a menu that encapsulates the true essence of East Asian street food culture. It will consist of a mouth-watering mix of original and tasty little dishes along with authentic desserts and drinks from each country. Feel free to mix and match dishes to your heart’s content for a singular food experience which Ursula, Yoko and Sarah are sure “will evoke the feeling of enjoying food in the streets of Beijing, Kyoto, or Delhi”.
As well as a day and evening of wonderful food, you can relax in the knowledge that 15% of ASIA POP’s sales will go to Child Hope – a charity that helps street kids around the globe. ASIAPOP! is inspired by the girls’ collective love of travel and the people they encountered on the way – It’s not just about food. Child Hope protects vulnerable children in regions that suffer from terrible poverty and inequality.
So whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just feeling peckish and want an experience more interesting than your usual restaurant, stop by and enjoy some of ASIA POP!
