River Cottage Fruit Everyday


The man behind River Cottage, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, will be greeting Bristol fans at a book signing for his new ‘River Cottage Fruit Everyday’ cookbook. The book signing will be at the River Cottage Canteen on Whiteladies Road, 10.30 – 11.30am on Wednesday October 16th.

The River Cottage Canteen’s daily changing seasonal menu will be drawing inspiration from both the book and new TV series, the first episode of which airs 16th October, great for those looking for a fruity take on traditional dishes.

‘River Cottage Fruit Everyday’ is available to buy from the Canteen before the book signing and focuses on how delicious fruit can enhance and transform meat, fish and pudding dishes, proving it shouldn’t be restricted to crumbles, chutneys and pies.

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall talks about the new book and TV series: “With all the incredible fruit that is growing in Britain today, we should open our eyes to the endless and mouthwatering possibilities at our fingertips. I want to show readers how to grow their own fruit at home that will always taste fantastic, regardless of how it looks in a bid to end this quest for cosmetic perfection.

“It will be great to meet the River Cottage Canteen regular guests along with those who are interested in learning more about getting British fruit out of a bowl and onto our plates to reinvigorate a meaty meal, spice up a fishy dish or revitalise a traditional pudding”
