It’s sad times at Clifton’s Arch House Deli. After nearly eight years at their premises in Boyces Avenue, the deli and cafe is closing down this Sunday, July 16th as a result of a family illness.

Owners Debbie and David no longer have the time to run the deli and cafe side of the business, but will still be supplying cheese wedding cakes, hosting cheese and wine events (with Averys and others) and developing their online shop.

The final day of trading will be this Sunday, July 16th, and until then, they’ll be running a huge sale, with many of the deli’s products half price.

A new tenant has already been found for the premises, and the Arch House Deli team say that it’s set to be refurbished and converted into a cafe, which will open later this year.

Those who have bookings for upcoming cheese and wine events at Arch House Deli will be happy to know that these events are still taking place on the same date and at the same time, but at Averys on Culver Street in the city centre. And if you have an Arch House Deli gift voucher that still needs to be used, this is still valid up until July 16th – after this date, contact David and Debbie and they’ll either offer a refund, or switch it for a cheese and wine voucher.

Sad times indeed – it’s a real shame to see Arch House Deli go, but we wish David and Debbie the best of luck with their business in the future.

  1. I’m disappointed to only hear about this place after it has closed, it looks like a little gem. I wonder if there are more little places like this I have not discovered. I will have go venture off my usual beaten path and find what’s out there.
Is there are good online directory for Bristol independents like this?
